The Opportunities for Youth Employment (OYE) project enters new phase

With support from the Swiss and Danish embassies, SNV Tanzania launched the second phase of its Opportunities for Youth Employment (OYE) Project on Friday 21st May at a virtual event. The project is designed to equip young people with the appropriate technical and life skills to make them attractive to employers and prepared to undertake self-employment, entrepreneurial activities. OYE promotes economic resilience in young people, connecting them with meaningful employment opportunities in markets that provide them with a realistic chance to improve their lives.

On October 6, Switzerland and Tanzania signed two Bilateral Agreements worth CHF 17.8 million (TZS 44.1 billion) to improve health and livelihoods of Tanzanians through the Health Basket Fund (HBF) and Tanzania Social Action Fund (TASAF).
