Emergency Obstetric Care (EmOC)

Projet terminé

The progress of the health outcomes in Tanzania is impressive within the last decade which is reflected in the reduction of the child mortality by 40% between 1999 and 2008. Nevertheless the reduction of newborn and child mortality remains a high priority for the Government - beside the reduction of persistently high maternal mortality. The Swiss contribution will cover EmONC instruments for approximately 15 district hospitals and 30 health centres. The beneficiaries are the women and newborns; however the staffs in the health facilities are the direct recipient.
