SDC funding to UNHCR operations allows the UN Refugee Agency to respond proactively and to provide immediate protection and assistance to refugees and internally displaced people in life-threatening situations and underfunded emergencies.

La diffusion d'informations agricoles et de services financiers par le biais de la téléphonie mobile et le partenariat avec des acteurs privés ou publics sont aujourd'hui des pistes prometteuses pour atteindre des millions de personnes. Ainsi, le projet Agri-Fin Mobile propose des services de conseil agricole et de microfinance par téléphone mobile en Indonésie, en Ouganda et au Zimbabwe, qui devraient toucher quelque 280’000 petits paysans.

Rethinking Sanitation Systems: Resource Recovery and Safe Reuse (RR&R)

Building on the research results of the first phase, this project will directly address the combined challenges of making resource recovery and reuse a viable business opportunity and implementing Resource Recovery and Safe Reuse (RR&R) businesses in Kampala and Lima. At the same time the project will reduce public health and environmental risks associated with reuse and pave the way for scaling up Sanitation Safety Planning (SSP) at the global level.

Der Globalkredit wird für eine schnelle und administrativ einfache Abwicklung für Kurzaktionen der Sektion gebraucht. Einzelne Teilaktionen werden gemäss internen Richtlinien bewilligt und sind für Aktionen von sehr kurzer Dauer, für Beiträge an Events und Identifizierung von Projekten vorgesehen.
