The PC-7 TEAM will take to the skies at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT). The team’s dynamic, elegant and precise displays won them the Bill Hartree Memorial Trophy for the most accurate, safe and polished flying display at the Cosford Air Show in 2017, and the RIAT King Hussein Memorial Sword for best overall flying demonstration in 2013. The nine-ship formation in Pilatus Turbo trainers consists of front-line F/A-18 Hornet fighter pilots who practise and perform the displays in their spare time.

The F/A-18 Hornet solo displays at RIAT and the Scottish International Airshow (SIA) will be piloted by Captain Nicholas “Vincent” Rossier who has been the Swiss Air Force Hornet Display pilot since 2017. A Swiss Hornet first appeared at RIAT in 1997 and this is the first appearance at SIA.

“The presence of two Swiss aerobatic teams again this year - the Royal Air Force Centenary - underlines the friendship and good relations between both countries’ air forces.”
Colonel (GS) Martin Lerch, Defence Attaché of Switzerland to the United Kingdom
