Mr. Shakhrukh Sharakhmetov, Vice-President of the State Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan, met with Mr. Peter Blaser, a famous Swiss hot air balloon pilot. The meeting was also attended by the Swiss Ambassador in Uzbekistan, Mr. Olivier Chave and by the President of the Uzbek Aeronautical Federation, Mr Takhir Saliev.
During the meeting, Mr Blaser shared his plans to organize hot air balloon flights over Uzbekistan’s historic cities in April. He underlined that the realization of these plans was made possible thanks to the new policies of the Uzbek President, including those to foster tourism. Accordingly to Mr. Blaser, hot air balloon flights would enrich the touristic offer in Uzbekistan and contribute to the international branding of the country. Indeed, nothing really compares to the unique discovery of a gorgeous landscape from the air!
The balloon flights will be organized with the support and participation of the Uzbek Aeronautical Federation.
