Acquired knowledge about new technologies that promote water saving at the field level, will be needed when using the 7 sets of laser leveling equipment procured under the project in December 2014. This equipment have been granted to the seven demonstration Water Consumers Associations (WCAs), one for each project area. In general, the RESP –II has been cooperating with 63 WCAs in 7 provinces.

Theoretical part of the training was conducted at the Training Center of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration (TIIM) with the participation of water specialists of the Administrations of Irrigation Systems and WCAs.

Before the practical field training session took place, one of the sets of laser land leveling equipment was delivered to "Kushtepa Suvchi" WCA in Buka district of Tashkent region, which also was attended by all training participants and the representative of the district khokimiyat. AIS and WUA specialists received practical skills in the use of equipment for laser land leveling.
