RESOLVE – Resilient Economies and Sustainable Livelihoods for Empowerment In Yemen
The SDC Cooperation Programme for Yemen aims to reduce aid dependency by strengthening resilience and supporting sustainable livelihoods. This project will help drive that transition by addressing severe food insecurity and unlocking local agricultural potential. It will promote innovative, inclusive models for small and micro agribusinesses and strengthen the governance framework as well as public service delivery.

| Hintergrund | Yemen faces one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises, driven by prolonged conflict, political instability, and economic collapse. These conditions have weakened institutions, deepened poverty, and eroded food security, especially in rural areas already strained by environmental degradation and climate shocks. Short-term aid has eased immediate suffering but fails to tackle root causes. There is an urgent need to shift toward sustainable, resilience-based development where the context allows. |
