Yemen, ICRC, in kind support for emergency Cholera response

Projekt abgeschlossen

The number of acute watery diarrhea (AWD) / suspected cholera cases continues to increase at unprecedented level in Yemen. More than half of the total cases have been reported in Sana’a City, Hajjah and Amran governorates. Whereas the main problem leading and treating Cholera is a lack of services, Chlorine for disinfection of water and distribution points will be lacking as well. Switzerland wants to ensure a sustainable and local production of Chlorine in the country and will therefore deliver WATA devices to be distributed by the ICRC.
