The district of Nové Sady is one of Olomouc’s largest urban districts. In terms of public transport, the district is only served by buses and easily accessible by car. The heavy car and bus traffic results in frequent congestion and causes a deterioration of the air quality, not only in this area but also across the entire City of Olomouc. The project therefore aims to enhance the public transport infrastructure of Olomouc and thus improve the air quality (mitigation of greenhouse gas- and other hazardous emissions) by constructing a tram network extension from Olomouc’s city centre towards the densely populated Nové Sady district.

In Hungary, bomb threats have become a real problem for the judicial system and their number has been increasing over the last few years. Energy Efficiency MOI
01.09.2012
- 31.05.2017
The project aims to improve the working conditions of police employees and the living conditions of asylum seekers through the rehabilitation of initially ten selected security-related buildings. The buildings included in the project are in poor conditions. Not enough maintenance or improvements have been made and today the buildings do not conform to EU requirements. They are operated with very high costs since regular maintenance work has not been performed. Some buildings have had some renovation, but for meaningful energy savings as well as financial savings further modernisation is required.
