Background

Access to public primary health care, particularly mental health and psychosocial services for refugees, migrants and host communities in Egypt, remains a major challenge. This project aims to improve access to Mental Health and Psycho-social services (MHPSS) among most-at-risk populations, in partnership with Ministry of Health (MoH) and four national NGOs. The intervention will target 21040 beneficiaries and will directly support 12 public health care centers in Greater Cairo.

Objectives

The project aims to protect and promote the mental health and psychosocial wellbeing of refugees, migrants and host communities in Egypt.

Target groups

More than twenty one thousand direct beneficiaries, including refugees, migrants, host community members, and health care service providers, and more than 96,000 indirect beneficiary refugees living in the catchment areas of 12 Public Health Care Centers (PHCC).
