Partnership for Action on Green Economy, Phase II
The Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) is a multi-year programme to support countries interested in pursuing green economy policies. It will deploy the joint expertise of four UN agencies, ILO, UNEP, UNIDO, and UNITAR, to assist a total of 20 countries in their efforts to embark on green economy pathways.

| Objectives |
The programme?s vision is the inclusive and sustainable transformation of national economic structures and supports 20 countries in the design of their national visions, strategies and action plans for a sustainable future and puts the emphasis on strategic analysis and macro-economic, sectoral, and thematic policy reform. The key to this transformation is shifting trade, investment and innovation policies towards the creation of a new generation of assets: clean technologies, energy and resource efficient infrastructure, trade-driven growth that promotes environmental protection and social inclusiveness, well-functioning ecosystems, a skilled labour force with green jobs driven by strong institutions and good governance. |

Expected results: Broad IGE diagnostic repots, macroeconomic assessments, and policy analysis to identify and prioritize planning processes and economic sectors for IGE transition. Public, private and civil society stakeholders mobilized and engaged in this process to ensure collective ownership and sustainability of IGE policies. Sectoral and thematic scoping studies and assessments and their translation into actionable policy and sectoral reforms. Advisory support for implementation of the sectoral and/or thematic policies, strategies, and plans. IGE financing partners are mobilized and engaged including UNCT, donors, IFIs, and private sector. Capacity development support delivered to national institutions Nationally tailored training programmes developed and delivered. Global and regional leadership and training programmes and packages developed and delivered for individuals and institutions. Inclusive Green Economy knowledge products generated and shared through North-South-South collaboration. Results from previous phases: 13 countries have joined the PAGE partnership through a criteria based selection process from a much large pool of over 40 countries that expressed interest. A comprehensive global green economy learning programme has been established with a regular offer to PAGE partner as well as other countries, including introductory and thematic on-line trainings, on campus global green economy academies and training packages for national level use. A total number of over 1600 individuals received training related to green economy through the PAGE programme. 31 national institutions are partners for PAGE delivery in countries, leading the development of national macroeconomic and sectoral assessments, stakeholder engagement and national training programmes while strengthening their own capacity to develop and implement green economy policy reforms and trainings. 18 high-level knowledge-sharing events were organized. |
