Platform Renewable Energies REPIC

REPIC is the platform of four offices of the Swiss Confederation (SECO, SDC, FOEN, SFOE). It supports projects for the transfer of Swiss know-how and technologies in developing countries and countries in transition with the aim of disseminating renewable energies and increasing the energy and ressource efficiency.

Access to energy is a sine qua non for human development, access to a better quality of life and economic development. REPIC is thus one of the pillars of Switzerland's commitment in developing and transition countries to the development of sustainable and affordable access to renewable energy and the sustainable use of natural resources. Switzerland supports with REPIC the Agenda 2030 (SDGs) and the Paris Climate Agreement.

Objetivos

The main objective of the REPIC platform is the transfer of knowledge and technology in order to develop renewable energies (RE), energy efficiency (EE) and resource efficiency (REF) in developing and transition countries.

Efectos a medio plazo

SMEs, universities or NGOs carry out 54 concrete projects (41 of which have been successfully completed) in the field of RE / EE / REF in developing and transition countries, with the support of the platform.

16 projects supported by REPIC in the field of RE / EE / REF are as far as possible transposed on a larger scale, one to three years after the end of the pilot phase.

14 organizations supported by REPIC are involved in a partnership (e.g. for funding, replication).

Increased coherence and efficiency between the activities of the Confederation in the RE / EE / REF.
