El desempleo y el subempleo se cuentan entre los problemas de desarrollo más importantes de los países contraparte de la COSUDE. Solo logrando aumentar el número de personas con acceso a un empleo productivo y debidamente remunerado y, con ello, a unos ingresos, puede reducirse de forma sostenible la pobreza en el mundo y alcanzarse los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible de Naciones Unidas.
Fomentando el acceso de los hogares pobres, los campesinos y las pequeñas y medianas empresas a los servicios financieros, puede mejorarse su participación en la vida económica y reducirse su vulnerabilidad ante las crisis.
El programa contribuye a generar 5’000 nuevos empleos e incrementa 10% anualmente los ingresos a 10’000 familias vulnerables que viven en las cuencas de los ríos Choluteca, Goascorán y Nacaome. Para lo cual el programa impulsa alianzas público-privadas tomando en cuenta los desafíos y el potencial de las familias pequeñas productoras de marañón, ganadería sostenible y eco-turismo. Además, facilita el dialogo territorial para establecer reglas que fomenten un clima de negocios que combina los beneficios financieros con la sostenibilidad social y ambiental.
This regional program with national implementation components is a private-public-development-partnership (PPDP) supporting Social Entrepreneurs (SEs) contributing to solving societal and environmental problems with a market-based approach. The contribution identifies and supports selected SEs and helps them to reach out to the poor. It serves the creation of employment and income for low-income households improving their livelihoods. SEs use innovative ideas and business models that are well-aligned with SDC’s objectives of poverty reduction.
This project will facilitate employment for vulnerable groups, by introducing appropriate active labour market measures, improving the capacities of responsible stakeholders to coordinate employment measures, and sensitizing and incentivising the private sector. lt contributes to ease the risk of vulnerable groups to fall into poverty, and enhances their social inclusion. Roma and people with disabilities are the main target group as they are disproportionally affected by high unemployment in Macedonia.
Le Bénin a besoin d’un dispositif national pour le financement du secteur agricole. La DDC soutient l’Etat béninois et le secteur privé dans la mise en place de dispositifs communs et pérennes de financement du secteur. Le but est de renforcer la productivité, la compétitivité des productions agricoles et la résilience des systèmes de productions aux effets des variations climatiques. Ceci devrait contribuer à créer des emplois pour les jeunes.
PROFET contributes to improve the integration of young people, especially women and disadvantaged groups, into the labour market by assessing demand in the productive sector, improving training quality in priority specialties for the economy of the country, promoting cooperation between educational institutions and the productive public and private sectors, and providing local counselling services for young people looking for jobs.
In the past 12 months, close to 10’000 claims on land were registered with state/regional governments. This project addresses land issue from three different angles: 1) OneMap Myanmar, implemented by the University of Bern, facilitates multi-stakeholder processes based on accurate land data; 2) the Land Core Group is THE voice of Civil Society in policy making around land; and 3) the Transnational Institute builds the capacity and networks of ethnic civil society organisations for their effective participation in policy and peace processes.
PROFET promotes access to employment by young people, with emphasis on women and disadvantaged groups, by modernizing educational programmes and technology under Technical and Vocational Education, in priority specialties for the development of the country (construction, agriculture and tourism), strengthening cooperation among educational institutions and the productive sector, and providing local advisory services for job placement and business undertaking.
Municipal administrations in all 61 municipalities in Albania will be supported to effectively manage service delivery based on the citizens’ needs. Municipal councils will be enabled to better represent citizens’ interests and ensure that public resources are well managed. Setting up a reliable and up-to-date local statistical system will allow an informed decision making. Through these improvements, citizens will benefit from better services such as waste and pre-school education and will actively be involved in local issues.
El desarrollo de competencias profesionales es clave para mejorar la producción y ampliar las oportunidades de empleo y autoempleo. El proyecto tiene como objetivo reducir la pobreza y la desigualdad mejorando el acceso al mercado laboral. Busca fortalecer las competencias profesionales y certificar competencias con énfasis en jóvenes y adultos, promover la calidad de los centros de formación y la corresponsabilidad de los actores públicos/privados. Las estrategias cubren tanto el nivel nacional como el local.
The Business Call to Action (BCtA) challenges companies to make public and measurable commitments towards becoming inclusive businesses understood as businesses that include people from the bottom of the pyramid – as consumers, producers or employees – in their value chains thus bringing the benefits of private sector led growth to the poorest segment of the population. To date, over 170 companies in 65 countries have joined the BCtA, which was launchedas a multi-stakeholder initiative in 2008 under the auspices of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
Livestock farming is an important source of income for a large part of the rural population in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. But many farmers live from subsistence farming and produce just enough food for their own needs. The aims of the project are to strengthen smallholder farms and to provide them with access to markets. This way, farmers can sell their honey, meat, cheese and wool products, and sustainably increase their incomes.

SET seeks to enhance youth (self) employment by improving the Vocational Skills Development (VSD) system. It will support public and private stakeholders to expand access to quality training that matches the demand from both the economy and youth, in particular women, including young mothers. Key elements from the Swiss VSD model will be emphasized: the coordination between skills providers and private sector, practical training and innovation.
