Central African Republic: INSO - Support for the Security of Humanitarian Organizations 2024-2026

INSO beneficiaries are non-governmental non-profit organizations rather than individuals. At present, 94 humanitarian organizations participate in the platform and use INSO services in CAR. This includes 81 INGOs, 2 RedCross Movement, 5 LNGOs, 5 UN agencies and one International Organization. The number of beneficiaries does not include the 5 donors currently receiving the services in CAR.

The number of NGOs is expected to grow further (as several NGO have requested registration pack but have not yet completed the process)

Principaux résultats attendus:  

R1 - Information, Analysis and Advice: Credible, reliable and high-quality information, analysis and advice are provided to NGOs in a timely and appropriate manner.

R2 - Capacity Building and Preparedness: NGOs are assisted in improving their own security management and emergency preparedness capacity.

Principaux résultats antérieurs:   Under the last project financed by SDC from May 2021 to April 2024, all regular services were provided to the partners according to the schedule. Among others, on average in 2023 INSO provided 92 on-request services per month in CAR, an increase compared to 59 on average per month before the start of the previous grant. The high volume of onrequest service evidenced the recuring needs of NGOs for tailored contextual advice. In addition, during the second year of the project INSO in CAR published over 350 threats warnings and more than 600 security reports.
