| Contexte |
Through its Geneva-based research, UNRISD aims to ensure that considerations of social equity, inclusion and justice are central to development thinking, policy and practice. UNRISD undertakes its research through networks of researchers, policy makers and civil society actors around the world who are partners in generating knowledge, and in engaging with processes to influence policies at national and local levels, as well as within the UN system. UNRISD is committed to working with researchers in developing countries in order to support their capacities to undertake high-quality research and to provide them with channels and platforms for disseminating their findings so that they reach global policy debates. The projects on the themes of fragility and financing for development supported through this credit proposal are of great importance to SDC both on a thematic level and as a support to UNRISD’s function as a research centre for the UN system. Moreover, the support to UNRISD is consistent with the Federal Council’s strategy to support Geneva International. |
| Objectifs |
The main goal of this single phase project is to contribute to the global body of knowledge on policy issues of great importance to SDC (fragility, domestic resource mobilization) and to support the role of UNRISD in Geneva as a research hub within the UN system. |
