Contribution to Ground Truth Solutions 2017
By supporting Ground Truth, Switzerland strives to ensure people and communities vulnerable to risk and affected by disaster, conflict or poverty, do influence and have access to quality assistance and can hold organizations accountable. Ground Truth believes that the best way to plan humanitarian programmes and gauge their impact is to include the perspective of people at the receiving end of aid, and has set-up tools to do so.

| Contesto |
It is widely recognized that humanitarian actors need to be more accountable for what they do and what they say they will deliver during a humanitarian response. In humanitarian action, globally, the call for more involvement of people affected by crises is an acknowledgement that not doing so often results in programmes that fail to adequately address priority needs. Over the past two years, “putting people at the center” has become a key topic in discussions related to the humanitarian sector. As such, both the World Humanitarian Summit (WHS) and the Grand Bargain have called for a “participation revolution” in humanitarian response. |
| Obiettivi | By 2020, Ground Truth’s goal is to become the leading organization in responsive and adaptive management, providing advice and developing the capacity of humanitarian actors to systematically bring the voice of affected people into all levels of humanitarian action, from projects and programmes to sectors and response-wide interventions. Ground Truth aims to be used by all humanitarian actors. |
| Gruppi target | All humanitarian practitioners and stakeholders. |
| Effetti a medio termine | Working alongside other humanitarian-to-humanitarian organizations, by the end of the phase, it is expected that Ground Truth will come closer to playing a significant role in transforming the sector from supply-driven to demand-led. This will have resulted in greater effectiveness and efficiency across the humanitarian space. |
