Switzerland’s UN Missions

Switzerland is present at the United Nations with permanent missions in Geneva, New York, Vienna and Rome, working within the global context of the UN for peace, human rights, the fight against poverty, food security and the protection of the environment.

The UN has193 member states – almost all the countries of the world – which confers on it unique worldwide legitimacy and status. Switzerland’s four missions follow events in important UN bodies and actively participate in the resolution of global problems.
