The project improves the emergency care system in Romania by strengthening the current continuous education for emergency care, develop the integrated emergency dispatcher training system and by improving the knowledge of the population regarding the emergency services in Romania.

First activity of the project will be to contact and contract the  project partner from Kuopio for their supporting services related to the development of 2 Dispatcher Training Simulator Centers in Romania. Then the Romanian and Finish experts will develop and implement the training of trainers program and the stepdown training. Following that the Romanian and international experts will develop further training implementation strategy and an implementation plan of this strategy. Equipment and training materials needed for proper functioning of the training centers will be procured and training programs implemented in triage, Emergency Department management and disaster preparedness.

The activities to inform population regarding the emergency services will be supported by the dedicated unit of the Department of Emergency Situation and the technical assistance of the EA experts. Communication materials and a website development will be part of the capacity development at the level of the Department of the Emergency Situations.


Résultats obtenus:   The projects “Improving quality of pre-hospital and hospital emergency services through the development and implementation of a training program (ER)” and “Improving quality of services in paediatric intensive care units through the development and implementation of a training program (PICU)” have strengthened premises for quality improvements in emergency care and paediatric intensive care through the development of quality instruments, such as clinical practice guidelines, protocols and checklists, and a strengthened training capacity in emergency care and the newly developed “Atestat” training program in paediatric intensive care.
