The College of Europe Development Office, in collaboration with the Swiss Mission in Brussels, is happy to invite you to the panel debate "The Voluntary Return Policy as an Effective Tool for Migration Management" on 21 November 2017.

With the growing numbers of asylum applications over the past years in many European countries the return of irregular migrants who do not need any protection in their countries of destination has become more and more important. Several initiatives in the EU and in the Member States aim to render the current systems and return procedures more comprehensive and effective. Against this background, the objective of the panel discussion is firstly to explain how return policy is a fundamental element for an effective migration management policy and secondly to share the best practices that the EU and Switzerland are applying in this regard.

The event is open to the public. Should you like to participate, please register by filling in the registration form.

The deadline to register is 20 November 2017.
