Reorganization of Consular Services in the UAE
As of April 1, 2014, all consular services (including legalizations) and matters for Swiss nationals will be carried out by the Embassy of Switzerland in Abu Dhabi as a dedicated consular service center with competence for the seven Emirates.

Important information
Schengen-Visa still mandatory for UAE nationals in 2014
The Swiss Embassy wishes to inform that contrary to some recent publication in local media UAE nationals are still required to apply for a visa before travelling to Schengen countries including Switzerland. Without a valid visa you are not allowed to enter Schengen countries. An application for a Schengen visa may be filed up to three months prior to your intended journey. Please consider to file your application well in advance, as the procedure takes up to 2 weeks.
