As the official representation of Switzerland, the Embassy covers all matters concerning diplomatic relations between the two countries. It represents Swiss interests in the areas of political, economic, financial and legal affairs, as well as science, education and culture.
The consular section of the Swiss Embassy in Abidjan acts as a link between Swiss nationals residing in Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone and their country of origin, Switzerland. This section deals with the registration of new arrivals, the establishment and renewal of Swiss identity documents, registration of civil status events, legalization, naturalization, etc.
