The call for applications for the ThinkSwiss Research Scholarships: Asia Pacific 2024 is now open!
A unique chance for students enrolled in Singapore universities to spend up to three months in Switzerland and redefine your research thinking at a Swiss university. The scholarship supports your project with a prorated monthly scholarship of CHF 1’800 (about 2’500 SDG/BND) for up to three months. We are excited to receive your application until 31 January 2025.

The Swiss National Day celebration is just around the corner! The Swiss Embassy invites you to join an evening of festivities at the Swiss Club on Saturday, 3 August 2024, at 6:00PM. The celebration promises something for everyone. The evening begins with an Apéro on the lawn, featuring Swiss music and the sounds of the alphorn. Children will have the opportunity to participate in a lampion parade, followed by a traditional bonfire at the Swiss School. The Swiss Alpine Lions brass band will fill the evening with lively music, while guests can savour a sumptuous Swiss buffet, completed with Raclette stations. A special highlight will be a message broadcasted from the Swiss President. Swiss Club members can secure their tickets here. Tickets for the general public are available here. Designed for children from 4 to 7 years, our story session will feature captivating Francophone tales from beloved books including Le jardin de Madame Héléna, La fugue de Momo and Une cloche pour Ursli. These stories will immerse young minds in the rich tapestry of Francophone culture, sparking imagination and introducing them to the beauty of the French language. While the children are captivated by stories, parents can unwind and socialize over a glass of wine, creating a perfect afternoon of leisure and cultural enrichment.
The Embassy of Switzerland in Singapore is delighted to present the captivating Swiss film "Le théorème de Marguerite" as part of this year's Francophonie celebration. Released in May 2023, the movie has garnered prestigious awards, including the César Award for Best Female Actress in 2024, showcasing the excellency of Swiss filmmaking.

The Swiss Embassy in Singapore invites you to catch the Singapore Premiere of La Chimera, a special screening of the latest film by acclaimed Italian director Alice Rohrwacher at the 34th edition of the Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF), held in Singapore from 30 Nov to 10 Dec 2023. La Chimera is a period romantic drama set in the 1980s, starring Josh O’Connor and Isabella Rossellini that explores the theme of archaeological looting and the illegal trade of ancient artifacts.

From 2–10 December, the Swiss Women's National Floorball Team will participate in the World Floorball Championship in Singapore. This is the second time Singapore is hosting, with the first being in 2005, a memorable year for the Swiss as they won their inaugural gold medal.
This event will discuss the 2022 exhibition and accompanying publication by the S AM Swiss Architecture Museum titled “Make Do With Now. New Directions in Japanese Architecture”, highlighting alternative trends in Japanese Architecture and new architecture models of social and ecological commitment.

'Triple Instruments' is an avant-garde research endeavor spearheaded by Prof. Florian Dombois of ZHDK. This initiative delves into the realm of sound kites connected to terrestrial instruments through a piano string. Brought to life by Singaporean artists Tini Aliman and Vivian Wang, and inspired by Malaysia's traditional 'wau' kites, this project offers a unique sonic landscape in Singapore.
