The Embassy monitors developments and changes in the regulations and policies governing Singapore’s economic and financial markets. By maintaining regular dialogues with Singaporean authorities, the Embassy works towards strengthening the economic and financial ties between Switzerland and Singapore.
Part of the legal framework of the Swiss-Singaporean economic and financial relations are the regularly revised 2003 Free Trade Agreement between the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) - of which Switzerland is a member - and Singapore, as well as the amended Double Taxation Agreement between Switzerland and Singapore, which entered into force on 1 August 2012.
Through its Swiss Business Hub ASEAN the Embassy assists Swiss companies and industries in establishing contacts, promotes the export of Swiss products and services, and supports the promotion of Switzerland as a location for foreign investment.
