Deputy Chief of Finance and Personnel

This exciting role for the Embassy of Switzerland / Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation supports and replaces the Chief of Finance, Personnel and Administration mainly in the smooth running of the office in the fields of Finance and Human Resources and will supervises the Finance officer and the accountant. The DCFA contributes to the fulfilment of the mission and represents its interests and values towards key stakeholders and partners in the region. Closing date for applications is 30th October 2015. Anticipated start date 1st January 2016.

Job Description

  1. Human resources administration, including preparation of monthly payroll and management of all locally hired staff
  2. Finances include the supervision of the bookkeeping, office budget analysis, year-end closing and preparation of all necessary documents for the audit
  3. Review, analyse and comment on financial report of partners/projects
  4. Assess audit reports from partners/projects
  5. Management of project data on SAP
  6. Responsible for the overview of all contracts and for the portfolio analysis of the programmes/projects supported by SDC
  7. Supporting the CFPA in the organisation of the office and the Internal Control System
  8. Support, advise and train the Finance officer and the programme managers
  9. Remuneration according to salary scale.

Finance officer

The Finance officer contributes to the fulfilment of the Embassy of Switzerland / Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) mission and represents its interests and values towards key stakeholders and partners in the region. The Finance Officer supports the Deputy Chief of Finance and Personnel , mainly in the smooth running of the SDC projects in the field of Finance. The Finance officer will be controlling and monitoring SDC projects under one of the priority intervention domain of the SDC. Closing date for applications is 30th October 2015.
