The Embassy is delighted to support two screenings of the film “Schwesterlein” (“My Little Sister”) at the 25th German Film Festival, organised by the Goethe-Institut Singapore with The Projector. The film garnered 5 wins at the 2021 Swiss Film Awards and was Switzerland's entry for Best International Feature at the 93rd Academy Awards

The embassy is co-organising a workshop on "Innovative sustainable design and solutions in building and construction" with Archifest, Deloitte Centre for the Edge, Studio SKLIM, Häring Timber Technology, Affordable Abodes, Hilti & EHL Campus (Singapore). In expression of solidarity with the Swiss abroad and our friends in Singapore and Brunei after what feels like a very long year living with the ongoing pandemic, the Swiss embassy is happy to share a digital celebration program through short videos on this website dedicated to the Swiss related community in Singapore and Brunei. We invite you to view celebratory messages from Ambassador Fabrice Filliez and the Swiss School in Singapore, as well as cook along videos with mouth-watering dishes with Swiss Chefs Patrick Heuberger (Atout), Otto Weibel (Black Marble, Osia), and Sebastien Donati together with General Manager Yves Schmid (Coucou). Save the date for the award winning drama ‘Paradise War – The story of Bruno Manser’ at the Europen Union Film Festival. Starring actor Sven Schelker, it won best actor at last year’s Swiss Film Awards. The film is based on the true story of Swiss environmental activist Bruno Manser (1954-2000).

Together with EHL Campus Singapore and Robert Parker Wine Advocate, the embassy is organising a wine masterclass on Swiss Wine and Women in Wine on 21 April at the EHL Campus. Society often expects men to ‘know about wine’. In many instances, the wine list and the pre-pour is first given to men when couples are dining together in a restaurant.

A portrait of the enchanted feminism of the 1970s, the film retraces the encounter of actress Delphine Seyrig and director Carole Roussopoulos in 1974. Both militant feminists, they were the pioneers of video activism in France who documented the demonstrations of French feminists and used these new technologies to combat the poor representation of women in public media. With a camera in hand, Delphine and Carole will engage in radical fights with insolence, intransigence, and a lot of humour.
