Round Table: “Roots of a friendship” 25 Years of Diplomatic Relations Slovenia - Switzerland

Through an exchange of letters on 31st January 1992, diplomatic relations were established between the Swiss Confederation and the Republic of Slovenia. 25 years later, the Embassy organizes a public discussion between actors and witnesses, in order to illustrate some personal stories on and behind the scene.

Dr Dimitrij Rupel, then Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, is the keynote speaker. The discussion, moderated by Mag. Bojan Grobovšek, former Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Switzerland, will include two presentations on “a General and an Archbishop with Swiss citizenship”: Aleš Bebler and Alojzij Šuštar.

Followed by a reception. The programme and the handout are enclosed.
