JIGITUGU+: Appui au renforcementd es competences des jeunes femmes et hommes ruraux dans le secteur agricole

A travers ce projet intégré, la Suisse veut contribuer à relever les défis des zones rurales du Mali en mobilisant les ressources locales. Il vise à renforcer la résilience, promouvoir l’éducation et l’emploi des jeunes et des femmes, et améliorer la sécurité alimentaire. En intégrant ces publics dans des systèmes éducatifs, professionnels et agricoles adaptés, le projet aspire à un impact durable, notamment par l’augmentation des revenus, la promotion de pratiques agroécologiques et le renforcement des institutions locales.


Addressing Determinants of Health for Advancing Equity – Phase 2

Significant health gains have been made worldwide in recent decades, but their distribution remains highly unequal. These unfair, avoidable differences in health status are concentrated in already disadvantaged populations. The Special Initiative for Action on the Social Determinants of Health addresses health inequalities by generating evidence and actionable insights. Phase 2 advances normative work, evidence-based strategies, and advocacy to shape inclusive, health-promoting environments.


Land and Natural Resources Governance (LNRG) program

01.01.2025 - 31.12.2027

Myanmar's  land  and  natural  resources  are  threatened  by  conflicts,  disputes,  environmental degradation,  and  climate  change.  This  program will  strengthen  ethnic  and  community-based systems  for  better  land  and  natural  resources  governance  in  the  South  East  region  through empowered local civil society organisations and accountable ethnic Service Departments. This support builds on past successes, and is implemented by trusted local and international partners.  


PARIS21 Partnership in Statistics for Development in the 21st Century Contribution 2025-2026

The Partnership in Statistics for Development in the 21st Century (PARIS21) works with governments, international organisations, civil society, and other stakeholders to strengthen national statistical systems and improve the production, quality, availability, and use of statistics for informed, evidence-based decision making for sustainable development. This is in line with Switzerland’s promotion of reliable statistical data to allow monitoring of development efforts, the use of data for policy making and decisions based on evidence.

In der Schweiz wird Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung in einem whole-of-government Ansatz und ganzheitlichen Bildungskonzept das die soziale, ökonomische und ökologische Dimension vereint, gefördert. Als dafür geschaffenes nationales Kompetenzzentrum unterstützt die Stiftung éducation21 im Auftrag des Bundes, der Kantone und der Zivilgesellschaft die Umsetzung von Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung in der obligatorischen Schule und auf Sekundarstufe II.


GAIN Combating Malnutrition in Rwanda through Sustainable Food Systems (GAIN CoMa SFS)

According to the newly approved National Strategy of Transformation - NST2 (2024–2029), reducing stunting and malnutrition comes among the top five priorities of the government of Rwanda (GoR) with an ambitious target of reducing child stunting from 33% to 15% by 2029. Thus, Switzerland’ support to GAIN and the collaboration with different actors across the health and food sectors: GoR, private sector and farmers assures stimulating production, access, affordability and consumption of desirable nutritious and safe foods.

In Cambodia and Laos, young fast-growing SMEs are incremental to transform local economies. However, perceived as risky and operating in small frontier markets, the finance sector doesn’t invest in them the capital to further grow. This contribution aims to close this gap and demonstrate the viability of investments through adapted financial products and technical assistance, while creating employment, developing the market, and driving gender- and climate inclusive growth.


Swiss Support to Arts Development in Zimbabwe (SSADZA)

Through the SSADZA initiative, Switzerland will support Zimbabwean artists to create new work, build networks, and engage audiences, enriching the arts landscape economically and socially. The programme will stimulate social change and enhance civil society by promoting the arts and culture as a catalyst for debate, social cohesion, peaceful co-existence and localisation. SSADZA will also participate in policy influencing with donors and government for increased financial support to the sector.


Safer Migration project (SaMi)

Labour migration is a central pillar of the Nepalese economy, remittances contributing to more than 20% of the GNI. According to the Constitution of Nepal (2015) foreign labour migration should be made safe and beneficial. To this end, Switzerland will continue to support the three spheres (federal, provincial and local) of the Government of Nepal through the pioneering Safer Migration project (SaMi) exit phase, aiming at institutionalising, professionalising and upscaling migration services offered across the country.


Nepal Impact Investment Community 2 (NIIC2)

01.07.2024 - 30.06.2028

SDC's contribution to the Nepal Impact Investment Community Fund 2 will address the gaps in the financial ecosystem and market failures that limit access to capital and constrain growth for Digital Economy Catalyst (DEC) SMEs. By bringing debt and equity together with in-built business development services support, the initiative will enable capital providers to address the needs of DEC SMEs and enable these SMEs to unlock growth, foster innovation, and create impact through the creation of job and income opportunities.


Skills Development Programme (SDP)

01.07.2024 - 30.06.2028

Technical and vocational education and training (TVET) to address the needs of the domestic labour market remains a key priority for the Cambodian government. With this last phase, training institutions and enterprises in 12 provinces will improve their capacities to equip disadvantaged youth with relevant skills and knowledge. At the same time, the governance and financing of the TVET system as a whole shall be strengthened, incl. through cooperation with the private sector.


Production des Connaissances et Appui Institutionnel pour une gestion intégrée des Ressources en Eau au Tchad - ResEau

01.06.2024 - 31.05.2028

Le Tchad subit fortement les effets du changement climatique avec des pluviométries aléatoires. Le sous-sol du Tchad dispose d’un important potentiel en eau. Faute de compétences nationales, ces ressources en eau restent très peu mobilisées. La DDC renforce, à travers ce projet, les compétences et les connaissances nationales pour favoriser une gestion durable de ces ressources et contribue ainsi à la résilience du Tchad face aux changements climatiques.
