2011 erklärte die georgische Regierung die Entwicklung der Landwirtschaft zur nationalen Priorität. Mit dem DEZA-Projekt für ländliche Entwicklung soll die Armut in Niederkartlien bekämpft und der Lebensalltag von rund 4000 Haushalten in der Region verbessert werden. Es zielt darauf ab, die Produktivität und die Qualität der lokalen Landwirtschaftsprodukte zu steigern.

Strengthening Voice and Accountability in Kyrgyzstan

The project intends to develop capacities of Local Self Governments to provide better public services and adequately respond to the needs of citizens, during a period in which decentralisation is high priority on the Kyrgyz agenda. In line with the Government’ decentralization strategy, the project will ensure policy dialogue on all levels to facilitate the adequate delegation of power and secure financing of Local Self Governments. By developing capacities and providing trainings the project will contribute to the empowerment of rural communities and LSGs.
