Visions Sud Est 2022 - 2026
Filmmakers and artists at large contribute to the reflection of relevant issues, initiating debates on societal issues and therefore shaping the future of our society. The fund Visions Sud Est (VSE) supports film production in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. It is a partnership between SDC, major film festivals and a film distributor in Switzerland. VSE is a contribution for filmmakers from the South&East to make their voices heard and to ensure the diversity of artistic expression internationally.

Hintergrund |
Engaging in the support of an independent art scene means engaging in strengthening freedom of expression, social debate. It is an important lever for democratic movements, peace and social cohesion. Film is an interesting vehicle and form of art but at the same time complicated in the production and distribution. SDC engages in supporting art and culture as a contribution to the implementation of the 2005 UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. This includes the support for international mobility of artists and the participation of artists from the South&East in international art and culture. |
Ziele |
The overall goal is to contribute to the strengthening and development of an independent local and regional filmproduction in Latin America, Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe (without EU). Encourage filmmakers and producers from countries in the South and East with less developed film industries and professional cultural networks: |
