“DISPLACED” is a project by the Swiss Federal Commission on Migration (FCM), the Swiss State Secretariat for Migration (SEM), the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC and one of its NGO partners, IAMANEH Switzerland, which has long-standing experience in working with men on gender equality, are organising the first international conference in Switzerland on the subject of engaging men and boys in gender and development.
On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the Federal Commission on Migration (FCM) and the Embassy of Canada to Switzerland host a panel discussion on “Women in Displacement” on 8 March 2018 from 6pm to 8pm. The event takes place within the framework of the “DISPLACED” exhibition currently on display in the Historischen Museum in Bern.
What impact do cultural exchange and international networks have? What roles do art and culture play in the process of social change? CROSSROADS, organised by The Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), offers a platform for discussion with a conference and a cultural programme on these core questions.
Looking ahead to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the SDC is organising a round table on women’s capacity for action in Benin, featuring guest speakers from Benin and Switzerland.
