General contribution to the UNV Special Voluntary Fund (SVF) 2018 - 2020

Proyecto terminado

The mobilization of volunteers is a vital mean in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals complementing the UN’s efforts. Volunteer work contributes to the social cohesion and stability of societies, which in turns benefits Switzerland and is aligned with Swiss values such as taking on individual responsibility and practical problem solving. The Swiss contribution to the Special Voluntary Fund (SVF) will enable the United Nations Volunteers programme (UNV) to mobilize young people and to promote volunteerism among Member States and in the UN system.
