El Consejo Noruego Refugiados (CNR)
trabajará en la reducción de la vulnerabilidad de la población afectada por el
conflicto armado en curso en el Chocó y por la crisis humanitaria en la
frontera Colombia-Venezuela. Por un lado, respondiendo a los impactos como
resultado de la prolongada crisis dentro de Venezuela, se espera que la
población desarrolle la capacidad de identificar riesgos de protección y
estrategias para mitigarlos. Por otro lado, en cuanto a la situación interna
del Chocó en el marco de la reparación de las víctimas, el proyecto busca
promover su participación activa en los procesos de implementación de
soluciones duraderas.

El trabajo de fortalecimiento de la
Registraduría ha evidenciado la importancia de continuar con este esfuerzo, por
lo que en junio de 2019 se amplía nuevamente el proyecto con el fin de
responder a las necesidades de registro civil e identificación de población
vulnerable, en su mayoría i) comunidades indígenas ubicadas en zonas de difícil
acceso a los servicios de registro, y ii) población Colombiana retornada desde
Venezuela, y niños/as hijos de venezolanos nacidos en Colombia.

In 2012, a Policy Think Tank (PTT) was established under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, with the vision of helping guiding the country towards economic prosperity and poverty alleviation. The PTT has established a core team, carried out several studies and generated interest amongst stakeholders involved in the agricultural sector policy improvement. Now, the PTT structure and mandate need to be strengthened and adapted to answer to the changes that the country is facing.

Community Health Provision in Somalia

This intervention contributes to improve access of the Somali population to quality, affordable and equitable health services in South Central Somalia and Puntland. In a context of still very low health services coverage, high level of vulnerabilities and protracted conflict, this intervention will ensure the delivery of essential primarily health care services, focusing on women and children, while at the same time contributing to progressively build the health system at both district and regional levels.

Dans le territoire de Masisi, l’environnement de conflit induit de nombreuses menaces de protection, qui ont elles-mêmes des répercussions négatives sur les moyens de subsistance des ménages. Le projet vise à renforcer la capacité des individus, des ménages et des réseaux communautaires à résister aux chocs et aux stresses liées au conflit, en renforçant leur environnement protecteur et en donnant aux groupes communautaires les capacités d’investir dans leurs moyens de subsistance et dans des stratégies positives de survie. Ce projet s’étalera sur deux phases au minimum : la première jusqu’à la fin 2017, et la seconde en 2018.

Improving food availability and access for vulnerable populations in Akobo East

This project aims at contributing to the improvement of food security and resilience of the population in Akobo East (Jonglei), through enhancing agricultural productivity, increasing incomes, and promoting alternative livelihood options. Akobo East faces crisis levels of food insecurity, but has the potential for agricultural development. To address the volatile situation, the project also contains an emergency component to respond to urgent humanitarian needs, if required.

Desertification, land degradation and drought (DLDD) are major drivers of global change, especially in drylands, where some of the most vulnerable ecosystems and peoples can be found. The Committee on Science and Technology (CST) of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) is a subsidiary body to provide advice on scientific and technological matters relating to DLDD. SDC has the lead function for UNCCD matters within the Federal Administration. SDC is supported by scientific expertise and as a consequence enabled to provide scientific evidence to the CST.
