Medium Term Programme of SDC Quality Assurance, section and network

01.01.2014 - 31.12.2019

Quality assurance (QA) supports result orientation at SDC. Starting with a good planning process (achievable results, ownership by involved partners) the regular assessment of results while implementing helps to adapt programme activities in order to make effective contributions to partner countries’ development. Other important factors for effective contributions are thematic expertise, sound risk management or well managed partnerships. QA supports achievement of results defined in the Bill to Parliament 2013 – 2016.

The contribution to WFP’s Special Operation supports all three areas of assistance, i.e. 1. Treatment and prevention operations to help contain the epidemic; 2. Strengthening to the local health systems; and 3. Mitigating the adverse secondary effects of the crisis, including food shortages.
