Military Cooperation Conference held in Zurich for NATO allied and partners countries

From the 15th to the 17th of February 2016, the Swiss Ministry of Defence hosted in Zurich a Military Cooperation Conference (MCC) open to NATO allied and partners countries. The aim of these informal and open discussions was to find solutions in order to enhance the existing cooperation between NATO members and partners nations in a more coherent and efficient manner. The conference gathered more than a 100 representatives from over 40 countries and gave the participants the possibility to exchange, among others, on the practical issues of the technical cooperation inside the Interoperability Platform (IP). The IP also includes the five Western European Partners (WEP-5) Austria, Finland, Ireland, Sweden and Switzerland.

To conclude the conference as well as to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Swiss participation to the Partnership for Peace Programme (PfP), the Swiss Chief of the Armed Forces, LtGen André Blattmann, hosted a formal dinner with selected guests.
