Federal Councillor Didier Burkhalter set out Switzerland’s position at the Syria conference in Brussels on 5 April 2017. He appealed to the parties to the conflict to show willingness to compromise and to seek common dialogue. On the margins of the conference Mr Burkhalter met with various actors actively engaged in promoting peace in Syria.
