Following its internationalization strategy, the University of St.Gallen has an established presence in the Latin American region since 2011. Over the years, the University has steadily increased the activities of its representation there. In 2018, the University takes a step further and inaugurates the St.Gallen Institute of Management in Latin America (GIMLA) at the heart of Avenida Paulista, in São Paulo, Brazil. The Institute is managed by Prof. Dr. Vanessa Boanada Fuchs and Dr. Anthony Boanada-Fuchs focusing on fostering and strengthening academic partnerships via bilateral and multilateral teaching agreements, research projects, events and it also contributes to the formation of high-quality professionals with different bachelor and executive education programs such as Latam Term, St. Gallen Connection and EMBE Brazil. Committed to producing real social impact, the Institute works in close relationship with local university partners, the HSG Alumni community, and the praxis. GIMLA counts with a small team devoted to enhancing the academic relations between Latin America and St.Gallen with an eye to realizing the real impact. In addition to the core team, our activities are supported by the University of St.Gallen professors and graduate researchers who engage in joint projects
