The exhibition ‘Cosmos Archaeology: Exploration in Time and Space’, jointly organized by the Embassy of Switzerland in China, the National Museum of China (NMC ), and the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, with support from the Department of Astronomy and the Academy of Arts & Design at Tsinghua University, was officially unveiled at the NMC on July 2nd. This is the first Swiss exhibition held at the new NMC since its opening and marks a highlight in the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and China.
The exhibition brings together no fewer than 233 exhibits by 49 artists from the Collection de l’Art Brut, as well as pieces by four self-taught Chinese artists. It is the first comprehensive research-based presentation of the development of Art Brut in China.

As part ofthe family concert series at theNational Center for the PerformingArts, this show combines thefantasy of fairytales with timelessorchestral music.The Dunshan Symphonic WindOrchestra is the Chinese mainland’sfirst and only fully privately-funded orchestra. Contemporary photography, both in China and Switzerland, is a powerful medium for storytelling. The creation of imagined realities between documentary and fiction are the focus of “Follow Me,” an exhibition exploring photographers’ multiple roles as authors and narrators whose images navigate audiences through specific stories.Ten young artists from Switzerland and China will participate in the exhibition: David FAVROD, Anne GOLAZ, KIMISA, LAU Wei, Celine LIU, Romain MADER, Virginie REBETEZ, SHI Zhen, Salvatore VITALE, ZENG Yicheng. The exhibition is presented by two co-curators – Peter PFRUNDER and SHI Hantao.

As one of the highlights of Swiss-Sino Friendship Day in Zhongshan, “First Seen” presents a series of photographs from Chinese mainland and Hong Kong private art collections. Visitors are invited to admire photos through telescopes positioned in the center of the room.Nicolas Delaroche has participated in more than 40 exhibitions at cultural heritage institutions including the Musée de L’Elysée in Lausanne and Aperture Foundation in New York. His creative approach and artistic research is dedicated to consolidating linksbetween artworks and their exhibition context.
The exhibition Constellation by Nicolas Delaroche will show a new series of photographs First Seen, a giant rock desert sculpture and paintings realised in Hangzhou under the title The Adventures of the Coyote in China.

“Surface and Beneath”: Works by Peter Panyoczki,’ an introduction to the multi-facetted world of this talented artist who is adept at exploring complex themes of place and identity, as well as the origins and expression of life and nature. His toolkit for these explorations is immense: painting, sculpture and drawing meet photography, digital technology and installation, whilst the natural meets the man made. The show covers a range of works, including some works on paper and miniature paintings previously unseen in Asia.

His new photo exhibition will tell us of an extraordinary expedition which idea, goal and plan were to travel back in times with a camel caravan in search of ancient civilizations, empires and cultures while trying to discover anthropomorphic statues, tumuli, tombs, megaliths, grave steles, deer stones, petroglyphs and other remains dating back millenniums.
