Welcome message by the Chargé d’affaires a.i. and Head of Mission
On behalf of my entire team, I welcome you to the website of the Embassy of Switzerland in Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. It is for me an honour and a pleasure to serve as Chargé d’affaires a.i. of Switzerland to both countries since summer 2020.
In the last years, our relationship has been particularly significant and intensive, namely in the diplomatic and the economic spheres. In 2017, we celebrated the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Kazakhstan, as well as between Switzerland and Tajikistan. The visit of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to Switzerland in November 2019, as well as the visit of the President of the Swiss Confederation Ueli Maurer to Kazakhstan in the same month are tokens of our close and lively ties with both countries.
Switzerland attaches great importance to the Blue Peace Central Asia Initiative, and will continue to work together with Kazakhstan and Tajikistan by actively supporting national and regional initiatives to improve cross-border, integrated water management.
Notwithstanding the pandemic situation, we continue to further develop our bilateral relations and keep all possible channels open for dialogue between Switzerland and Kazakhstan.
This site provides you with up-to-date information about Covid-19 and how it affects visa requirements, your travel plans and consular matters. Furthermore, you can find general information about Switzerland and its relationship with Kazakhstan. If you require information regarding Tajikistan, please visit the website of the Swiss Cooperation Office SDC and Consular Agency located in Dushanbe.
For further inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact the Embassy at: firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be happy to assist you.
Thank you for your visit and stay safe
Chargé d’affaires a.i. and Head of Mission
