Travel from Poland to Switzerland

From Monday 20 September, travellers entering Switzerland who have not been vaccinated or have not recovered from COVID-19 will have to present a negative test result (antigen or PCR) on entry into Switzerland, irrespective by which means of transport they are entering the country. After four to seven days in the country, another test must be carried out, subject to a fee. The result of the second test must be sent to the relevant cantonal office.

  • Testing is not required for vaccinated or recovered travellers who can present a COVID certificate or other valid proof of vaccination or recovery.

Everyone entering Switzerland must present a completed entry form (rare exceptions may apply, please refer to art. 3 of the COVID-19 Ordinance on International Passenger Transport). It is important to fill out the electronic entry form on a computer or smartphone at the earliest 48 hours before the travel in order to receive a QR code by email. This code needs to be kept at hand for inspection upon arrival in Switzerland. The controlling authority can impose a fine if the entry form is not completed or if the information provided is false.

Travel from Switzerland to Poland

A negative test result (PCR or antigen test, not older than 48 hours) is required to be exempted from the 10-day quarantine obligation in Poland. The test can be done before departure or after entry to Poland. To be exempted from quarantine, the negative test result must be submitted to the Polish sanitation authority SANEPID which then confirms the quarantine exemption. Persons with a COVID-19 certificate are exempt from quarantine.

There are no restrictions to leave Poland.
