The Swiss embassy is pleased to present two screenings of the Swiss film Lynx (2021) at the Francophonie Film Festival at Alliance Française. Directed by Laurent Geslin, Lynx is a wildlife documentary film about a family of wild lynxes in the heart of the Jura Mountains, Switzerland. With breathtaking images and close up shots of the endangered animal, the film gives insight into the essential role that it occupies in the Swiss forests, the balance that it has restored in a fragile environment, but also the difficulties it encounters in a landscape largely occupied by humans. Do not miss out on this family-friendly nature spectator!

Synopsis:

In the heart of the Jura, a call echoes through the forest. The silhouette of a boreal lynx creeps through the beech and fir trees. A male is looking for his female. Suddenly a response comes from the valley floor. Thus begins the story of a family of lynxes that we will follow throughout the seasons. If it is rare to come across this discreet feline, it is exceptional to discover its daily life in the wild.
