Based on the decision of Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) to raise the epidemic alert level in Taipei to 3 and to strengthen national restrictions and measures, the Trade Office of Swiss Industries is open to  the public by appointment only.  To schedule an appointment, send a request to taipei@eda.admin.ch

Outbreak of a new coronavirus

From 19 March 2020, all foreign nationals, including Swiss citizens, are banned from entering Taiwan. Only foreign nationals who hold a valid Taiwanese residence permit are allowed to enter Taiwan but are subject to a mandatory 14-day quarantine.

Since 31 May 2021, the Federal Council recommends not travelling to countries that are on the FOPH list of risk countries due to a variant of the virus of concern. You will find these on the FOPH list under the title "2. countries with a variant of concern".

Entry requirements: From 26 June 2021 onwards, the regular entry requirements will apply for people entering Switzerland from Taiwan.

Border sanitary measures: In response to the COVID-19 pandemic there are special rules for people entering Switzerland. Please refer to the information of the Federal Office of Public Health FOPH.
