Multi-Donor civil society support program in Rwanda

The program aims at strengthening the capacity of Rwanda civil society to engage constructively with the Government on policy, planning and monitoring issues. It will improve a bottom-up dialogue and consultation mechanisms and promote the use of evidence in policy making for an effective implementation of the National Strategy for Transformation. The project is in line with Switzerland’s approach of fostering civic participation in Rwanda.

Improving the National Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) capacities of Mongolia

The intervention seeks to improve the national emergency response capacities of Mongolia in the area of Urban Search And Rescue (USAR). In Mongolia USAR services are delivered by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). Capacity-building will be pursued through a selection of measures with special focus on the provision of simple training facilities, targeted training in USAR techniques as well as support for organizational and operational conceptualization.

Contribution to UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS

Despite significant progress, HIV/AIDS continues to be a public health, human rights and development challenge. Geneva-based UNAIDS leads a multisectoral and multistakeholder response to HIV/AIDS through the provision of strategic information, analyses and political advocacy. UNAIDS contributes to prevent and reduce new HIV infections, AIDS related deaths and related stigma and discrimination and as such significantly contributes to end the epidemic as a public health threat by 2030 worldwide.

United Nations Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine

The protracted conflict in eastern Ukraine and its devastating effect on the civilian population requires a continued comprehensive international human rights monitoring and engagement with relevant actors. The presence and impartial work of the United Nations Human Rights Monitoring Mission helps to identify human rights gaps and concerns in Ukraine with a special focus on the east and Crimea. The mission formulates specific recommendations for shaping state policies and international assistance programs.

Program Contribution to Brücke – Le Pont 2019 - 2020

Brücke-Le pont is an independent organization established by Travail.Suisse and the Catholic workers' movement (KAB). It has a strong support base in Switzerland and more than 60 years of experience in development cooperation in the South. Its program "Decent Work” includes some 30 projects in Togo, Benin, Salvador, Honduras, Brazil and Bolivia. The programme improves lives of disadvantaged people through vocational trainings, improved access to the labour market, income generation and improved respect of labour rights.
