Switzerland’s UN Missions
Switzerland is present at the United Nations with permanent missions in Geneva, New York, Vienna and Rome, working within the global context of the UN for peace, human rights, the fight against poverty, food security and the protection of the environment.
The UN has193 member states – almost all the countries of the world – which confers on it unique worldwide legitimacy and status. Switzerland’s four missions follow events in important UN bodies and actively participate in the resolution of global problems.

Permanent Representation of Switzerland in Geneva
Switzerland is represented in Geneva by its Permanent Mission to the UN and other international organisations and by its Permanent Mission to the WTO and EFTA.

Mission to the UN in New York
Switzerland safeguards its interests at the UN head office and participates in the same way as other member states in accordance with its foreign policy objectives

Mission to the UN and to the other international organizations in Vienna
Switzerland's interests and positions are represented at the UN organizations based in Vienna by a permanent mission
