The Consulate general represents Switzerland's interests in the federal states of Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. Around 25,000 Swiss nationals live in these four states, for whom we provide a wide range of consular services.

Frankfurt, a dynamic financial center with more than 400 banks, the European Central Bank, the German Federal Bank and the German Stock Exchange, is of great importance to Swiss financial diplomacy. The economic clusters of Rhine-Main and North Rhine-Westphalia, with their innovative companies of global influence, offer numerous opportunities to strengthen Swiss-German economic relations. Favored by linguistic and geographical proximity, the cultural exchange with Switzerland is diverse and lively. The Consulate general plays a key role in further promoting cooperation in these areas.
