As the official representation of Switzerland, the Embassy covers all matters concerning diplomatic relations between the two countries. It represents Swiss interests in the areas of political, economic, financial and legal affairs, as well as science, education and culture.
On New Year's Eve, 31 December 2025, a devastating fire broke out in a bar in Crans-Montana.
Switzerland is deeply shocked. Our thoughts are with the families and friends of the victims, as well as with the emergency services in Switzerland who are working tirelessly.
Switzerland would like to thank all countries for their expressions of condolence and solidarity. Switzerland is also grateful for the support and assistance provided by various governments in admitting the injured to hospitals and establishing contact with the families of victims abroad.
In memory of the victims of the tragedy, a book of condolence will be available at the Swiss Embassy (Otto-von-Bismarck-Alle 4) on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is also possible to pay tribute to the victims in a digital book of condolence:
