The Embassy contributes to strengthen the bilateral relations between Switzerland and Ukraine. It does so through close contacts with the respective ministries, the organization of official visits and meetings, as well through negotiation support.

The Embassy furthermore drafts analyses and reports on domestic and foreign policies developments. It initiates, prepares, assists and supervises governmental, parliamentary and administrative level visits and those of public and private organisations. 

Promotion of general international law, international humanitarian law, international criminal justice (fight against impunity) and international human rights law are another focus of the Embassy. It follows up cases, provides information on local law and procedures regarding implementation of relevant provisions of international law and questions of reciprocity.
