Regional Arts and Culture Project in the South Caucasus

By supporting documentary films, documentary theatre and photography as powerful tools of contemporary art, the project will challenge social stigma, promote inclusion and human rights through empowering the civil society, nurturing intercultural dialogue and regional cooperation in the South Caucasus.


Women’s Economic Empowerment in the South Caucasus

In 2017, Switzerland embarked on a multi-donor project which laid a solid foundation for women’s economic empowerment in the South Caucasus, yet, further support is needed to fulfil women’s rights, which remain constrained by structural and cultural barriers. The Swiss-funded contribution will support capacity-building and provide technical assistance at institutions and policy level and, combined with activities at grassroots level, benefit at least 1’850 vulnerable women in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia


Supporting livestock traceability in the South Caucasus

Identifying where animals have come from and recording information about their health is essential in modern agriculture to prevent the spread of diseases and stop products from diseased animals reaching the market. A system to ensure traceability will help to improve the incomes of farmers in the South Caucasus by increasing both herd productivity and the producers’ access to markets.

Small Business Impact Fund, Phase II

The Small Business Impact Fund (SBIF) is a multi-donor initiative of the EBRD to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs). SECO’s contribution to the SBIF aims to strengthen competitiveness and resilience of SMEs in Central Asia, North Africa and South Caucasus by providing business advice, skills development and financing.


Global Financial Infrastructure Programme, Phase II

The Global Financial Infrastructure Programme fosters financial inclusion of individuals and responsible access to finance for SMEs through financial infrastructure reforms in SECO and SDC partner countries. It focuses on strengthening credit information systems, secured transaction reforms, as well as insolvency and debt resolution.


Financial Management Umbrella Trust Fund

The Financial Management Umbrella Trust Fund brings together World Bank implemented programs under the three areas of i) Managing Public Finances, ii) Financial Reporting and Auditing and iii) Public-Private Sector Interface under one common governance structure, following the principles of the World Bank Groups Trust Fund Reform.


Medium Term Budget Planning Framework Azerbaijan

The engagemen supports Azerbaijan in making public spending more effective, predictable and sustainable. Debt Management Financial Analysis System, Phase II

This project will support the introduction of the UNCTAD Debt Management and Financial Analysis System (DMFAS) in Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan as well as a DMFAS upgrade in Egypt with a view to strengthen the countries’ debt management capacity and transparency.


Global Tax Program (GTP)

The GTP provides an umbrella framework for World Bank Group (WBG) support in the tax field, building on an ongoing program of activities to strengthen tax institutions and mobilize domestic revenues. The GTP also contributes to improving coordination and knowledge sharing between the key organizations working on taxes (IMF, WBG, OECD and UN).


Government Debt and Risk Management Program, Phase II

This World Bank Treasury-implemented program aims to increase the capacity of Debt Management Offices in selected partner countries with regard to policy development and implementation of debt management plans, deepening of domestic debt markets, and putting in place sustainable debt management that adequately takes into account cost and risk.


Multi-Country Investment Climate Program

The Multi-Country Investment Climate Program (MCICP) supports investment climate reform advisory in a total of 20 SECO partner countries. It is implemented by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a globally recognized leader in this field.
