The Rainmakers are a prime example of the fruitful exchange between the North and South. Bänz Oester and Ganesh Geymeier come from Switzerland, while Afrika Mkhize and Ayanda Sikade are among the new continent-hopping talents from South Africa. The four of them form a close-knit, inseparable unit.
Since the band started in 2012, they have performed across European and African stages to great acclaim. Their music has been described by the Swiss media as “full of joy,” “breathtaking,” “brilliant and animated,” and “inspiring from beginning to end.”
