Tasks and objectives

We foster collaboration in the areas of education and science with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in terms of research and innovation. In the field of education, our goal of is to encourage and intensify the exchange and cooperation between institutions and schools of Switzerland and the consular district. We also provide information and guidance on education on all school and university levels in Switzerland. We support swissnex China, particularly in its role as an interface between Swiss and Chinese academia.

About swissnex China

swissnex China is an initiative of Switzerland’s State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI), managed in cooperation with the Department of Foreign Affairs. swissnex China started operations in August 2008 and promotes Switzerland’s excellence as one of the world’s leading countries in the fields of innovation, research, technology and higher education. The team is based in Shanghai, embedded at the Consulate General of Switzerland.

swissnex China builds and facilitates connections between academia and innovators by offering open platforms. Swissnex China always thrives to foster cooperation between China and Switzerland, and allows new ideas to grow and become interesting projects and collaborative opportunities. swissnex China is part of the Swissnex Network, with offices in Bangalore, Boston, San Francisco and Rio de Janeiro, and outposts in New York and Sao Paolo.
