The Embassy of Switzerland welcomes the announcement of temporary unilateral ceasefires by several parties to the conflict. These ceasefires should facilitate a safe humanitarian response to all those affected by the earthquake. The Embassy calls on the parties to the conflict to allow immediate, unhindered and sustained humanitarian access to all crisis areas and hopes that this de-escalation of violence will pave the way for an inclusive dialogue for sustainable peace in Myanmar.
